Suzy Whitty
Consultant
Suzy Whitty is a consultant specialising in planning, environment and compulsory acquisition law, with over nine years’ experience advising on complex matters across New South Wales. She has worked on some of the largest compulsory acquisition cases in the state, providing strategic advice on major infrastructure projects, planning approvals, and environmental and pollution issues.
Suzy appears regularly in the Land and Environment Court of NSW, with experience across Class 1, 3 and 4 jurisdictions. She represents clients in complex litigation and leads negotiations to achieve practical, commercially sound outcomes.
Suzy’s experience includes:
- Advising on compulsory land acquisition matters, including large-scale infrastructure projects
- Acting in Class 1, 3 and 4 proceedings in the Land and Environment Court of NSW
- Providing advice on planning approvals for large and complex developments
- Advising on environmental and pollution incidents
- Representing clients in complex litigation matters
- Leading negotiations to resolve disputes and secure favourable outcomes
Before commencing her legal career, Suzy served for ten years in the Royal Australian Navy. Outside of work, she enjoys travel, running and AFL.
